Liam Newton has grown brands and built high performing teams, across multiple sectors, in some of the world’s most successful organisations (Nestlé, InBev, Bacardi, Carlsberg).
As VP Marketing at Carlsberg, he led the revitalisation of the Carlsberg brand in the UK, reversing long-term decline and returning the brand to market share growth. He also developed the brand portfolio strategy, oversaw the exceptional growth of San Miguel and built the capability of the marketing team.
Prior to joining Carlsberg, he spent two years working agency side at global branding agency Landor, where he gained experience in a wide range of categories including retail, beverages, fintech, ultrafast broadband, streaming and FMCG. This built on his previous experience in confectionery with Nestlé Rowntree, beer with InBev and spirits with Bacardi Brown-Forman, where he was Marketing Director for 3 years and gained experience of building super premium brands.
In October 2020 he featured in Campaign’s Marketing Power 100 for the fourth successive year. He is also amongst Marketing Week’s Top 100 Most Effective Marketers and in their Top 10 for the Food and Drink category.
