Midori Paxton is the UNDP Head of Ecosystem and Biodiversity Programme based in New York. She is responsible for a large portfolio of biodiversity projects, comprising over 250 projects in more than 120 countries, as well as global projects including the Biodiversity Finance Initiative (BIOFIN) and the Nature for Development Programme. Previously, she worked as a Bangkok-based Regional Technical Adviser and in Namibia under the Directorate of Parks and Wildlife Management, Ministry of Environment and Tourism. Since 2018, Midori has led the Secretariat of The Lion’s Share, a UNDP based Fund that asks brands to contribute 0.5% of their media spend every time an animal is featured in their advertisements.
